Issues

Library's online databases are rich contents of articles and e-books from various publications. On both campuses, they are always accessible. When you go home and use AU's modem connections, you could access them, but at a low speed. You stay at your company office or at home with LAN or ADSL connection, but you can't access them.

Objective

You want to access the Library's online databases at high speed from outside campus.

Solutions

For Windows XP and Vista
For Mac OS
For Linux OS
For Solalis OS

Now you may access the Library's online databases using your office LAN or ADSL from any providers.

How? You need to do three things:

  1. Download the VPN Client and VPN Profile. Click here to download the VPN Client, and Click here to download the VPN Profile. You need both. Save both file, preferably, at Desktop. You may delete both after the installation and import.
  2. Install the VPN Client on your computer... read here for instruction
  3. Configure the VPN Client to connect to the VPN server ... read here for instruction

The system allows the maximum of 253 users at a time. The capacity will be expanded when necessary. Once the maximum number of users is reached, you will not be able to connect to the server.
